Murphy Chapel

Butch and Joquita came for a visit on Friday. They took us to Littons for a hamburger. They brought South Carolina peaches and brownies..
David and Melissa came on Saturday....
Murphy Chapel is named for my great grandfather...James Crawford Murphy....

After church we drove across the mountain. Gatlinburg was bumper to bumper traffic, but Townsend was quiet. We ate lunch at the Timbers in Townsend...

Murphy Reunion

On Saturday we went to the Murphy Reunion.It was at Black Bear Crossing in the Smokies. There was lots of good food and lots of talking and hugging..I took some pictures of my cousins.

Trip to Corolla Beach ...July 2009

We spent a week at the beach with Paul Rose Wendy Zach Stacy Andrew Joquita Laura Chris...and Teddy. I didn't get a picture of Teddy but Rose has a good one on him walkng on the beach with the family.Hey no picture of Joquita and Andrew..too bad. We had a great time except for gpa being sick most of the time with a terrible cold and cough. We finally got medicine for him from advice from Dr. Scott..The baby had a wonderful time and she got lots of attention...surprised at that? Enjoy the pictures...
We had a long trip to Fredericksburg to spend the night..Zachary fixed pizza for us.

4th of July Party

Rose had her annual party and it was a huge success...Her yard is so pretty with flowers blooming everywhere and a beautiful vegetable garden. Greenville Burkas were there...Todd represented Nashville Burkas...Sam conducted an exercise class around the pool with people doing push-ups and all kinds of hard things. Paul served hamburgers, hot dogs, watermelon, etc., etc. Joquita brough potato salad and peach cobbler and homemade icecream. Gma brought her green salad (Todd's favorite),....Good weather...Good time...beautiful garden

Trip to Nashville

Here are some pictures of our weekend in Nashville with Amy. It was to celebrate Melissa's birthday.

Rose came to see us...She and I went to Newport to spend the day...
I drove to the city park in Newport while Rose worked on Hugh Allen's papers at the Newport Library..
Here is the pool in Newport where I taught myself to swim. I spent my childhood right here.
She helped Gpa cut some limbs that were hanging on the cable wires...
