Birthday Party for Stacy

Zach and Stacy and Miss Wendy came to visit Rose. Gma brought Wendy a doll made by her friend Gail. Stacy was surprised by a Birthday Party .Gpa made a family of owls for her. Everyone in our family has owls made by Gpa. Laura and Chris did the decorations..Joquita made an old fashioned white cake with caramel icing form Nannie's recipe...Paul grilled steaks and we had a wonderful day...

Rose's Birthday

We celebrated Rose's Birthday at Littons...She is 67 but doesn't look it.

Visitors this weekend....

David and Melissa visited this weekend...David worked in the yard and trimmed the hedge. Lindarose and Jay showed up and we had a nice visit with them. We went to a singin' at church Sunday night and David led a song! On Memorial Day we went to "Fountain City Day in the Park" and ate lunch at one of the booths...Nice time...

Gpa's Hip Replacement

We are so glad it's over...this was the hip replacement on the right side. He already had one on the left. Our children were great to help us as always. Butch couldn't get here because he's working in North Carolina but he called several times and he made sure the other two were here. It snowed while we were in the hospital.
David and Melissa spent the night with us Thursday night and we all got up at 4:30 a.m. for the surgery . Rose came and sat with us during the surgery and our friends from church came... Bill and Pat, Tom, Mark and Sammie .
Rose moved in with us for a few days and she gave Gpa the dreaded shot in the stomach..(dreaded by me because I thought I would have to give it)

Melissa and David came back last weekend and Melissa fixed every meal while she was here..pancakes for breakfast and Pork with Spanish Rice for dinner.

He needs exercise ,so we walk back and forth on the driveway 13 times to make a quarter mile...
