"Shoe" is a game started by Mamaw years ago. If you visited her apartment , eventually she would take you to her closet, and she would show you all her shoes. She would tell you their history, size, comfort level and how neatly she had them arranged on the floor. The last shoes described would be the ones she was wearing. She would explain why these shoes, of all the shoes she owned, were the ones she was wearing at the time. Another example of the "shoe" game is exhibited on Todd's blog. He has photographed all his shoes and added descriptions of reasoning for purchase, functionality, and journey of each pair. An earlier version of " shoe " is on a very early blog by Andrew. His photos are simple and to the point. 'These are my shoes, I bought them, so there.' The "Shoe" game being played at Easter time is a group activity. First, someone notices that his shoes almost match someone else's shoes. Size, price, and comfort are then the topic. The shoes are passed around and admired by the game participants. At some point, ownership of the shoes is thrown open to the group, but quickly rescinded as the original owners regain possession of their shoes. I believe that "shoe" is a favorite game of this family possibly stemming back to the fact that a great great great gpa was, in fact, a shoe maker. One side issue here is this, ask Gpa how a Civil War shoe was made in only two pieces of leather, and he will be thrilled to show you. "Shoe" can also be played by barefooted persons in the group. Their participation usually begins as " Where are your shoes? I have a pair that might fit you....."
