Station WDVX

Our Senior Sinners group from church went to the Knoxville Welcome Center on Gay Street today. Station WDVX broadcasts there live everyday at noon . It's called the Blue Plate Special. It was nice blue grass music. Mark Barker was one of the performers..He played guitar and sang. The Wright Brothers were good too..This is a East Tennessee radio station 89.9 fm or you can get it on the internet..A group of Japanese students were there so I said "Conishiwa "to them and they were surprised...They said "Hi" and giggled.
Some of us old timers remember when the Midday Merrygoround was broadcast from Gay Street every day. The performers would come out on the sidewalk and play.

Where there's live music and dancing, you'll find Gma and Gpa.
